Ebay Question..Can anyone help?
46I have sold on ebay for years.I recently sold an item. The person who bought it was not happy as the item didnt fit him the way he liked. No problem I have 100% feedback, I have always tried to make sure everyone is 100% happy.
I listed the item as stated, But was told that the item wasnt what it said it is. It was a pair of shoes size 10.5.They fit to snug.Again no problem
The problem I have is without even talkign to me first the person goes to pp and puts a claim out knowing he is 100% likely to get his money back. The problem I have is I feel this was kinda rude on his part for doing so. Why not just come to me and explain first and knowing me I would have gave him back his money without going though pp and having claims put on me.
I refunded the money no problems but havent sold anything after this sale, as I am really hurt by what this person did.
He is faily new and just starting out selling himself. I explained that the best way to go about it would have been to contact me first.
He has left me positive feedback but my question is should I leave him feedback? And if so it will be positive as thats the way the feedback is set up on ebay now. But I could leave positive but explain how upset I am with this buyer..
I am really unsure what do do.What do you think I should do.Any help would be greatful..Thanks

I'd still go with the neutral feedback thing. You'll get people like that when you deal with the public. Even in places like Hubpages. If you hang around here long enough, you'll see what I mean. There are lots of great people around here and there are even people you can disagree with and still be civil to and have great conversations. Then you have the trolls and people who just like to fight and be contrary.
Only you can decide if it's not worth it. Just be aware that those people are out there and if you pursure anything with ebay, you'll have to deal with them. That's why the neutral feedback is best. You go your way, he goes his way and you don't sell to him anymore. After all there's no rule that says you have to associate with him, is there? Don't forget, just like there are good people here, there are good ebayers out there and if you pursue selling on ebay, you'll find them. Good luck.
Yeah, that would probably work. I'd heard Ebay was trying to elliminate seller's bad feedback, so the fact that it's positive is probably ignored. Just write inside the feedback how he treated you and let that speak for itself.
When I am unsure about leaving feedback, I just don't leave any :)
At least he left you a positive feedback. I had an idiot that wanted me to ship a few hundred bucks item to unconfirmed address, and left me a negative feedback when I refused :)
Wish I could help

Since you talked to him and explained how Ebay works and he seemed cool with it, I'd leave some netural feedback noting that he's new. Perhaps people who sell to him in the future will see this and send a more detailed email explaining their refund policy, arbitration procedures, etc. Hope this helps.
